Case Study:
U.S. Navy

Permanent Magnet was chosen as the supplier for a critical function in the first United States nuclear power aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz. The company's cobalt magnets were part of a hysteresis motor which controlled the movement of fuel rods in the carrier's nuclear reactor. Permanent Magnet's ability to manufacture to order gave it the nod above competitors to fit the Navy's close tolerance needs.
